As the season draws to a close Dean Smith's lineup looks more and more locked in. He hasn't changed the starting eleven in four straight and it's doubtful he changes course now. Smith committed to a group and has been decisively sticking with them.

Next up is the final regular season home game of 2024 versus CF Montréal. Charlotte FC will look for revenge after dropping all three points against Montréal last month. This matchup should be a gritty one as both teams have plenty to play for. A victory would help solidify Charlotte's place higher in the standings and make a statement that they are trying to push toward the top tier in the Eastern Conference.

Here is the predicted starting eleven for this weekend's match:

Defensive unit

It will likely be the same group as it has been for the past couple of weeks. Tim Ream will likely continue in his newly given left-back role, Andrew Privett and Adilson Malanda will likely be the center-back pairing, and Nathan Byrne will likely be on the right. Kristijan Kahlina will be in goal as he looks to rebound after allowing three goals midweek. Those three goals were the most Kahlina has allowed in a game since May 29.

Midfield line

The midfield trio will likely be Ashley Westwood, Brandt Bronico, and Júnior Urso. These three have played together four times now and are undefeated. It hasn't been the flashiest group, but they are all willing to put in a shift that opens up play for the players around them.

Forward line

The forward line will almost certainly be Charlotte's three DPs. They have been involved in eight of the nine goals the Crown has scored in their past three games. Another big performance is needed as Montréal is surging up the table.

This starting eleven will look to maintain its undefeated form and exact some revenge on their Northern rivals in what has unexpectedly become a crucial game as Montréal has started surging up the table.
