It is officially time for the first home match of the season! The Bank should be popping and Charlotte FC is fortunate to have a relatively healthy squad going into the match against Atlanta United.

Last week’s Injury Pulse referenced Pep Biel being subbed off from a preseason friendly for precautionary measures. He looked healthy this past week against Seattle and is expected to be in the squad again for the game Saturday against Atlanta. In this week’s presser, Dean Smith mentioned that he felt Biel didn’t look fully fit, which led to him being subbed in Seattle. His performance and minutes are worth monitoring to see how close to full fitness he is this week.

Regarding other injuries from last week, Brandon Cambridge and Jahlane Forbes seem to still be dealing with minor hamstring problems. These types of injuries can be difficult to manage and both players have been ruled out for this week.

Wilfried Zaha was in London for the birth of his child but trained with the team yesterday and is expected to make his debut with the Crown this weekend.

As of now, there is no other injury-related news on the squad. Everyone else is healthy, but stay tuned to our website and social media accounts for the latest on the squad.
