Charlotte FC set to sign free agent Jamie Paterson

According to sources, Charlotte FC is adding some additional depth to its midfield by signing free agent Jamie Paterson. The signing was first reported by Tom Bogert earlier this morning.

Paterson has made well over 300 appearances and contributed over 100 goals in the English Championship. He spent the last three years with Swansea City and contributed 34 goals (17g/17a).

The 32-year-old will be reunited with Head Coach Dean Smith for the first time in over a decade. Paterson played for Smith at Walsall FC and had the most goals he ever scored in a season (13) during their 2012/13 campaign.
