The North Carolina Courage have announced the signing of Canadian free agent right-back/winger Bianca St-Georges to a two-year contract with a mutual option for 2026.
St-Georges has spent her career thus far with the Chicago Red Stars, who drafted her 20th overall in the 2019 NWSL Draft. Previously, St-Georges played four years at West Virginia University, winning the 2018 Big 12 Defensive Player of The Year her senior season.
The 26-year-old St-Georges has represented Canada nine times at the senior level and played in 21 matches for the Red Stars last season, scoring four goals and adding an assist.
The Courage currently plan to use St-Georges primarily in the attack, not as a fullback. St-Georges possesses a green card and will not require an international roster spot.
The Courage will continue to add to their roster with the NWSL Draft on January 12. The Courage currently have five picks, including the number five and number ten overall picks.
